The Peg Board - How games are chosen
- The peg board is divided into two main sections:
- the court section for games being played - there is a separate labelled section for each of the six courts; and
- the waiting section for the players present and who are waiting to play
- On arrival find your named peg (or a Visitor Peg if you are new), green pegs are for gents and orange pegs for ladies
- Place your peg at the end of the right-hand side of the waiting section of the peg board
- The player who is at the far left-hand side of the waiting section will pick the next game - you don't have to wait for a court to be free to choose the next game
- The choosing player should choose three pegs from the next six to create either a mixed or levels game the only exceptions to this rule are:
- As the choosing player you cannot make a game that you wish to play from the next six (e.g. there is only 1 lady available for a mixed in the next six), in which case the next person may choose a game - you will then choose the next game
- Two or more courts come off simultaneously and you are the only person waiting and your choice will mix up the players and result in a more level game
- Those chosen pegs should be put onto the next available court, or separated from the other waiting pegs if no court is available
- When a game finishes, someone from the winning pair should update the peg board, the two winning pegs should be first added to the end of the waiting section, followed by the remaining two pegs from the game
