I am a former Team GB professional player and trained full-time at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes for 4 years. I reached World #41 and #52 in Men’s and Mixed doubles, respectively, and represented England at the Sudirman Cup in 2015 and Thomas Cup Finals in 2016. Nationally, I reached #2 in Great Britain in Men’s and Mixed Doubles and won numerous medals in senior and junior National Championships. I also attended the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as a sparring player. I have also represented Loughborough University in both the National Badminton League and British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS), winning five BUCS National titles.
Since retiring from professional badminton in 2017, I have coached numerous players of various ages, many of whom have won junior national championships, junior international championships, and senior gold tournaments, and become members of the England Junior Performance Pathway. Additionally, I coached at the Leicestershire Performance Centre, including leading the Gold Programme which featured players performing at national level and beyond. My commitment, desire and passion for the sport as a player have translated into my coaching, where my goal is to make each player progress and become the best player they can be. I also have a PhD in Sports Biomechanics and Engineering, with a focus on badminton.
I aim to work with performance players who desire to become elite players; and believe I have the knowledge, experience, and commitment to help players achieve this. My expertise and focus centre around:
