![]() Sunday Casuals will be moving to its Summer timings as of Sunday May 3. Sessions will start and finish at the later times of 5pm - 8pm. Everything else remains the same - same fun games, same great price. OFFER NOW CLOSED ![]() Gary is offering a special deal on his coaching rates, so this could be your opportunity to improve your game with a leading badminton player and coach within the UK. Special Offer: Pay for 10 hours of individual coaching and get the 10th hour free! That's 10 hours of coaching for only £180. Please note that this offer does not include court fees, which are payable, separately, to Badminton Wycombe. Badminton Wycombe is very happy to announce the addition of a Casuals session on Wednesdays as of Wednesday, May 6.
The Mid-Week sessions take place in the evening, starting at 8pm and continue until the Centre closes at 11pm. Just like the Sunday sessions, the price is £9 and includes feather shuttles. The Easter Singles Tournament was "quite an intense evening" with over 50 games played, according to organiser Colin Beckley!
New players welcomed to the tournament were Kaushik, Matt and Sean, who all played admirably. Special mention goes to Matt, who progressed to the quarter finals from a tight group - well done to him. The climax of the evening was obviously the grand final between Alistair and Julien. At first it looked as Alistair might take the honours, leading all the way in the first game but faltering at the very last hurdle to lose 21-20. In the second game however it was all Julien, Alistair wilted probably due to an earlier tough semi-final with Tim and lack of match practice. Julien took the second game and the tournament 21-13. So it is congratulations to Julien, not losing a game all evening and now third time champion! It was another French victory in the Consolation Cup, with Aurelia winning all three games convincingly, so well done to her too. |
