Badminton Wycombe is celebrating the news that three of our Wycombe performance players have been selected to represent England at the European Team Championships to be held in Kazam Russia, from February 13 to 18.

You can read the article by clicking on the button below. December 28, saw the return of our Christmas Badminton Singles Tournament and the Badminton Centre opening especially for the event. Under Colin's organisation a great time was had by all, with impressive prizes too!
Jason improved on his 2nd place last year to take the title - Congratulations! Wycombe Wizards, came second at the U12 National Junior Club League Championships held at the NBC on June 11. The players showed the best team spirit in the hall to beat Chew Valley and only narrowly lost to Swifts in the final. It was a really tense final with a good crowd and atmosphere. Abigail Holden, from Wycombe EPT, was the team mentor for the day and was really impressed with how the players performed and supported each other.
Our U14 team also competed on the Sunday and had a great day, coming in 5th place. Click "Read More" to see photos of the team. Outside, the weather was miserable, wet, cold and windy but inside Badminton Wycombe 11 players battled it out in an intense afternoon of singles badminton. A new Champion emerged, Tim Chan, who topped his group without losing a match. He defeated Stuart Lyle in the semi-finals before beating Riaz Khimji in the final (21-14 & 21-10).

Christian Mitchell has been selected for the 2016 Home Countries Tournament in Glasgow to represent England. Cillon Chong and Isum Arachchige have been invited to the U11 England Talent Squad Training. Once again the quality of our players and coaching staff are being recognised at a national level. Everyone at Badminton Wycombe wishes all three of you the best of luck! ![]() Wycombe EPT player Oliver Thompson won the English national U19 singles title this past weekend (12-14 February 2016), which took place at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes. In the men's singles final, Oliver defeated fellow Wycombe EPT player David Jones. David Jones has now finished runner-up two years in a row, only loosing out to top seed Oliver in a hard-fought contest over three sets. In the Women's singles, Kirby Ngan won her second title, beating Abigail Holden, another Wycombe EPT player. Wycombe EPT coaches George Bevan, Gary Fox and Daryl Jacobs are delighted with the performances of all the EPT players as they lead the field in the National U19 Championships EPT players David Jones, Freya Redfearn, Abigail Holden, Charlie Castle and Gauri Shidhaye continue to not only demonstrate their great skills at and dedication to Badminton but also the continued success of our EPT programme here at Badminton Wycombe.
You can read the full stories by clicking on "Read More". August welcomed four new players, two of whom (Richard & Neal) took 3rd & 4th place. The 'old guard' of Alistair and Jason still made it to the finals with Alistair claiming the honours and topping Jason in the rankings.

After the dust had settled and many feathers had been shed, Daryl Jacobs was victorious in the main draw and Jamie Chan won the plate competition.
