Outside, the weather was miserable, wet, cold and windy but inside Badminton Wycombe 11 players battled it out in an intense afternoon of singles badminton. A new Champion emerged, Tim Chan, who topped his group without losing a match. He defeated Stuart Lyle in the semi-finals before beating Riaz Khimji in the final (21-14 & 21-10).
So, it is well done to Tim and also to Riaz as runner up.
In the play-off for 3rd and 4th places, Stuart, in his first appearance in the singles tournament, got the better of Prev Philips (15-6 & 15-10).
