This month's singles witnessed two players, both losing finalists in previous tournaments, now head to head for the Centre's top achievement. Jason had lost his final to England player Nicola Cerfontyne last new year and Alistair had lost to Julien Cordiez in April, so all to play for. After some long rallies and some incredible shots it was Alistair who triumphed 21-15 and 21-14.
So it is congratulations to Alistair as champion and Jason as runner up. Congratulations also to semi-finalists Hari and Prev, with Hari narrowly beating Prev 21-20 to take 3rd place and Prev 4th.
In the Consolation Cup it was a first win for Colin Upfield, well done to him.
The gauntlet is now down for June, will Julien take up the challenge and regain the title he has won 3 times? Will Nicola Cerfontyne return? Will the players at university on their return steal the crown?
